Ronald E. Hallett is a research professor with the Pullias Center for Higher Education in the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California. Hallett was previously professor in the LaFetra College of Education at the University of La Verne and an associate professor in the Benerd School of Education at the University of the Pacific. A former school teacher, his research has focused on the educational experiences that marginalized youth face in their pursuit of completing high school and transitioning to college including how to increase college access for at-promise students who are low-income, racially minoritized, former foster youth, undocumented, homeless or housing insecure, and/or first generation. At the Pullias Center, he is a lead researcher on the Promoting At-Promise Student Success project. Hallett received his PhD in urban educational policy from the University of Southern California.
