Scott Carrell is distinguished professor emeritus of economics in the Department of Economics at the University of California, Davis. He also serves as the cofaculty director of the California Education Laboratory in the UC Davis School of Education. He previously taught at Dartmouth College and the U.S. Air Force Academy. His research focuses on the economics of education. In addition, Carrell is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a research fellow at Institute for the Study of Labor, and a co-editor for the Journal of Human Resources. Carrell received his PhD in economics from the University of Florida.
