Susan C. Puryear is interim associate vice president for research administration at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She has worked in higher education for over 15 years, primarily in research administration and development in senior leadership positions. She was associate vice chancellor for research administration, integrity, and development at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, leading research infrastructure operations and strategic planning. She was director of sponsored programs and research at Clark University, supporting research development initiatives and increasing research productivity. Puryear earned her EdM in administration, planning, and social policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, a JD from Stanford Law School, and an EdD in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania. Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey appointed her to the Board of Trustees of Framingham State University. She is a member of the State Bar of California.
