Svetlana Darche is a senio research associate and director of Career Education at WestEd. She has extensive experience in evaluation, strategic planning, program design, and building cross-sectoral collaborations for system change and program improvement in education and social services. Darche has also developed an extensive array of tools and materials to promote career-related education reforms. She is currently focused on identifying the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed for college and career readiness; developing tools to assess needed skills; and strengthening in-school and work-based strategies to facilitate skill attainment. Darche also serves as coprincipal investigator on a National Science Foundation-funded project that prepares students for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics careers. Darche earned her MBA in business administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.
