Thomas G. David is a program officer with the James Irvine Foundation, where he is responsible for grant making in the areas of health and youth. Before coming to the foundation, he was coordinator of clinical research for the Division of Adolescent Medicine, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. He has also served as director of the University of California, Los Angeles, Bush Program in Child and Family Policy; as research associate in the Department of Psychiatry at Stanford University Medical School; as professor at Claremont Graduate School, Pacific Oaks College, and the University of California, Irvine. He received his doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Chicago.
