Anthony H. Normore

Anthony H. Normore is president of National Command and Staff College. He is also professor emeritus of educational leadership with the Graduate Education Division in the College of Education at California State University, Dominguez Hills. He was formerly graduate professor of law, ethics, and leadership with the Summer Leadership Academy at Columbia University. His research focuses on urban leadership development in the context of ethics and social justice. He is the author of over 25 books and has published more than 200 book chapters and monographs, research reviews, and peer-reviewed journal articles in the fields of educational leadership. Before moving to higher education research and instruction, Normore worked as a teacher, school, and district level administrator in Canada for over 20 years. Normore received his PhD from the Ontario Institute for the Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.
