Beth Brigante Higbee

Beth Brigante Higbee has more than 40 years of experience in education, having served as assistant superintendent with the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools and as a teacher in the Fontana Unified School District. As assistant superintendent, she oversaw curriculum, instruction, and state and federal academic accountability programs, including the Curriculum, Instruction, and Academic Enrichment Department, the Local Control and Accountability Plan Support Services Department, and the AVID and College Success Department. She also led initiatives in data analytics, statewide community engagement, grant writing, administrative leadership, and student voice programs. Higbee has collaborated on several education-related publications and has served on regional and state leadership committees, including the State Curriculum and Instruction Executive Committee and the State Advisory Panel for Updating the California Professional Educational Leadership Standards. She is a recipient of numerous honors, including County and State Central Office Administrator of the Year awards from the Association of California School Administrators. Higbee earned a PhD in education from Claremont Graduate University.
