Beth Meloy

Beth Meloy is a former senior researcher and policy analyst at the Learning Policy Institute, where she co-led a team conducting independent research to improve early care and education policy and practice. She was previously an executive policy fellow with the Society for Research in Child Development, where she supported the Office of Head Start in developing the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Birth to Five and contributed to revisions of the Head Start Program Performance Standards. She also served as a social science analyst in the Office of Head Start at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Earlier in her career, she was a teaching fellow and child care research scholar at Georgetown University. She also consults as president of Meloy Child and Family Policy Solutions, applying her expertise in early childhood policy, child development, and early learning program design to support policy development and analysis at the state and federal levels. Meloy earned her MPP in public policy from Georgetown University and a PhD in child development from Georgetown University.
