Christina Sun

Christina Sun is a doctoral candidate and researcher in economics at the University of California, Davis, specializing in behavioral and experimental economics, with a secondary focus on the economics of education. She was previously a research project manager in the UC Davis Department of Economics and has taught courses including behavioral economics and principles of microeconomics. Her research investigates cognitive biases influencing belief formation and updating, particularly regarding stereotyping and discrimination. In the field of education, Sun examines the long-term impact of public high schools on student outcomes using value-added models, and explores the challenges LGBTQ+ students face in navigating the financial aid system. Sun holds a BS in economic analysis and a BA in mathematical sciences from Binghamton University.
