Elisabeth L. Woody's research interests include student experiences on school reform, gender and diversity issues, critical pedagogy, and educators' responses to accountability in public schools. Woody is a former project director at Policy Analysis for California Education. She received the outstanding graduate student instructor award. She received her PhD in social and cultural studies in education from the University of California, Berkeley.
