Haleh Hatami

Haleh Hatami is a writer, producer, and impact advisor who conducted education policy research and provided technical assistance to schools in California, Oregon, and North Carolina. She worked on local, state, and federal school improvement initiatives, including school needs assessments, and coauthored articles on school-based budgeting, leadership coaching, and improvement planning. At Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE), she coordinated a seminar series for legislators and staff on a range of education policy topics and served as managing editor for Crucial Issues 2006 published by PACE. She was formerly a senior program officer with the Plowshares Fund. Hatami earned her BA in political science and Middle Eastern studies from the University of California, Berkeley, an MA in history from the University of Chicago, and an MFA in creative writing from San Francisco State University.
