Jeremy Singer

Jeremy Singer is an assistant professor of education in the College of Arts, Sciences and Education at the University of Michigan–Flint. His work focuses on the intersections between education policy and racial and socioeconomic inequality, covering such topics as attendance and chronic absenteeism, school choice, school improvement, and the relationship between housing and education. Singer has served as a postdoctoral research fellow with the Education Policy Innovation Collaborative at Michigan State University, and a researcher at the Detroit Partnership for Education Equity & Research, and he began his career as a teacher in the Detroit Public Schools. Singer received his PhD in educational leadership and policy studies from Wayne State University.
