Leib Sutcher is a math teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District and is working toward a master's degree in secondary mathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to starting graduate school, Sutcher was a research associate at the Learning Policy Institute. His work focuses on the teacher labor market, including recruitment and retention, the inequitable distribution of unqualified and inexperienced educators, and teacher shortages.
