Sarah Asson
Sarah Asson is a senior researcher at Education Northwest. Her work focuses on policy evaluation, mixed methods research, educational equity, and geospatial analysis, with particular attention to equitable access to schools and educational programs for students from diverse racial, economic, and linguistic backgrounds. As a doctoral student at Penn State University, she contributed to research on school attendance zones, dual language immersion programs, and the enforcement of federal civil rights in education. She previously worked as a research assistant with the Houston Education Research Consortium and as a research intern with the American Institutes for Research (AIR). Asson received a PhD in education policy studies from Penn State University and a BA in social policy analysis and statistics from Rice University.
