Tye Ripma is a postdoctoral scholar with the Systems Change Advancing Learning and Equity (SCALE) initiative at Stanford Graduate School of Education. He studies how state and district policies and practices can improve educational experiences and outcomes for students with disabilities. His qualitative and mixed methods research examines the governance structures and collaborative practices that strengthen alignment between general and special education. He previously worked as a special education teacher, district inclusion specialist, and board-certified behavior analyst, and later as a researcher and technical assistance provider at WestEd. He received his PhD in education leadership and policy from University of Texas at Austin.
