Kathryn Baron is a writer and editor specializing in education. She reported on state, national and international education issues for KQED Public Radio in San Francisco, National Public Radio, and numerous newspapers and magazines, and is a six-time winner of the Education Writers Association National Awards for Education Reporting. She also co-founded EdSource in its second incarnation an online news organization covering California education, and worked for the George Lucas Educational Foundation, Great Schools, and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. She holds a master's degree in journalism from Stanford University.
