Patricia Schetter

Patricia Schetter is the coordinator for social-emotional-behavioral supports and services at the Placer County Office of Education, where she assists districts in implementing PBIS, school-based mental health and wellness initiatives, and multi-tiered systems of support for students with disabilities. She previously served as executive director of the California Autism Professional Training and Information Network (CAPTAIN) at the University of California, Davis MIND Institute, which she co-founded in 2012. Under her leadership, CAPTAIN grew to over 450 members statewide and became a nationally recognized model for effective implementation of evidence-based practices in autism education. Schetter has worked in public education since 1999 in roles including special education teacher, program specialist, behavior analyst, and instructional coach. She holds a board certification in behavior analysis and a pupil personnel services (PPS) credential in school counseling. Schetter earned her MA in education from the University of California, Davis.
