Leslie Santee Siskin is a research associate professor in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University. She specializes in the sociology of organizations and organizational change within high schools. Her research encompasses departmental organization, interdisciplinary initiatives, high-stakes testing, the implementation of online and blended learning in educational settings, and comprehensive school reforms, including America's Choice and the International Baccalaureate programs. Siskin has authored several works, including Realms of Knowledge: Academic Departments in Secondary Schools and The Subjects in Question: Departmental Organization and the High School. She previously held positions at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Hofstra University and was a fellow at Columbia University and University of Cambridge.
